8 Months!

Elizabeth is now 8 months old! This month she has really started to change. She is now eating 2nd foods. She still only has 2 jars a day though. I tried giving her puffs recently and it was a very traumatic experience for me! She started semi-choking on them and that was the end of the puffs! She doesn't need them anyways, it's just a "distractor" food! She has been using her sippy cup more and more and she is getting really good with it. She also made the big jump to the big tub! We still had her in the infant tub, but after she discovered she could smack her hand against the water and make big splashes it was time to move her! She does really well and loves the tub with all the toys. We were a little afraid of the tub being too slick so we got some of those tub stickys to make sure she doesn't slide anywhere! She is very tall and slender. She can wear a wide array of clothing sizes. She can even still fit into 3 month pants!! Mostly she wears 6 or 6-9 months. At her last weigh in (2 days ago), she was 17lbs, 10 ozs. As far as developmental milestones, she is doing well. She has started to crawl...backwards!! She does start going frontwards, then decides she wants to go backwards! It is soo funny! She can also give you a high five, clap her hands, wave hi, blow bubbles, and make a ton of funny faces! She is attempting to pull up on her jumper and can move fast from her butt to her hands and feet and then back again! She is such a joy and we can't wait to see what month 9 has in store!

Oh and just a disclaimer for everyone that relies on Facebook to see pictures of Elizabeth....I have removed my pictures. I've heard a lot of stories lately where people were stealing pictures on the Internet and then using them without permission in ads and other places online. I really don't want pictures of my baby going around, so for her safety I'm not going to post any pictures of her. You will have to come here (this site can't be googled or found without someone knowing the website) to see pictures of her! Sorry, but safety and privacy of my children is number 1!!
