Elizabeth June is now 18 months.....the time is just flying by! She is quite the curious girl and at home she seems to always be getting into something. She is a very lovable little girl who will give just about anyone a hug. She is quite shy when visiting with people at first, but give her 10 minutes and she is fine. The funny this is when we are out shopping or running errands, she will wave and say hi to just about everyone she sees! I think it's the whole concept, if you don't get very close to me I'll be nice!! She LOVES the Christmas tree! Anyone that comes over, she has to point out every ornament on the tree. She has even learned the ornaments by name and when Kyle and I call them out she will go over and point to them! Our tree looks quite interesting this year because we only have ornaments on the top half. This was after Elizabeth broke about 6!! She also loves anything Santa, but she doesn't want to be anywhere near the guy (more on that in a later post!). She is a healthy, happy, active girl and we are incredibly blessed!
Weight: 26 pounds 6 ozs. (75%)
Height: 34 inches (95%)
Teeth: Elizabeth now has 9 teeth. She got off to a late start (she didn't get her first tooth until 13 months), but she is catching up! On the top she has her 2 central incisors, 2 lateral incisors & 2 first molars. On the bottom she has her 2 central incisors & 1 first molar.
Size: She wears 18-24 months and a size 6 shoe. She is still in a size 4 diaper, but I think after Christmas, we will move her up to 5.
Talking: She is learning a couple new words a week. Her current ones right now are: Santa and Ho-Ho-Ho (go figure!). She is always asking what's that & she will answer most of our questions to her with a yes or no. She almost always makes this terrible throat sound when something is yucky (it's actually quite funny & a little strange at the same time!).
General Info: She is mommy's little helper and loves to clean and pick up! She is always wanting a rag (I just give her a baby wipe) and she will go around and wipe off our tables, floors, furniture, anything! She loves throwing things into the trash can. She will find the smallest little something on the floor and bring it to me (I think she is trying to say, you didn't get it that clean Mom!!). She will put her dirty clothes in her hamper and she will bring me a diaper AND powder when she wants changed. She likes to wash her hands by herself in the sink and if there are shoes laying out in our family room, she will put them away in our closet. She is still a good sleeper, going to bed around 7:30 and getting up around 6:30. She still loves books and we sometimes find her in her room getting one book out at time, reading it and getting another down, and so on. She would read books for hours! Let's hope this continues!
